Everythings going really good. Shower situation has been fixed! We now get warm water! Already adjusted to the 'no electricity' situation and using flashlights.

We have a great group of people! Some from Australia, Thailand, Colombia, and the rest from the US. Our instructors name is Daniel -- very knowledgable and very energetic! In fact, everyone is pretty helpful and knowledgable here.

We did some good hikes yesterday afternoon. We did get to go off the trail into the forest. We had to put on deet, PLUS a sulphur powder on our ankles and legs and exposed skin so that we wouldn't get bit

The food is great! Homemade and so fresh -- we eat at the farm most of the time.

Todays schedule is cupping and sensory evaluation - analyzing flavors. Then we are going to Finca Sophia -- which is the highest coffee farm in Panama. It is owned by Willem Boot, who is also owner of Boot Coffee that we are doing this class through. He has grown the Geisha vareital coffee tree, which can go for about $100 lb. One of the guys in our class here (from Australia) sells it in his cafe for $12 a cup!

Also, the cherries off the Geisha tree is so sweet! We even took a natural processed cherry (already dried up), peeled it open, and if you closed your eyes, you would think it was an apricot! So cool!
